Plans are submitted to the county building department for permit approval. This part varies by county depending on staffing level.

After paperwork, we get your project scheduled for install. We're usually on site for less than two days. Please stay home for this part.

The utility now has up to 30 days to install your net meter. Not surprising, but they like to take their sweet time to say goodbye to a customer.

This rooftop Splice Foot is installed on top of your shingles. It creates a watertight foothold to your roof rafters with self sealing all weather adhesive and self tapping lag screws. The foundation of your panel racking system is effectively sealed with a butyl rubber barrier engineered to weather the elements for 25+ years. This part made me nervous too, until I understood how it's done.

MOUNT & RACKING ~~~~~

This rooftop mounted racking system holds the panels above your home. It will withstand Category 5 hurricane force winds and pounding rain. The microinverters attach behind the panels and are shielded from the elements.

Built into the rails of the racking system is a deep channel to hide and run the wiring. This allows for an organized and clean look helping to complete the perfect installation of your solar panels and microinverters.

Installed by your utility company, this device measures your electricity production and consumption. DUKE, TECO, FPL, GULF, and FPU will credit back any excess energy that you produce at 1:1 retail rates. The goal is to build a system that offsets your electricity usage from the utility completely. This optional Franklin Whole Home battery system combines the highest AC battery capacity (15 kWh) with the industry’s most intelligent controls and a 12 yr warranty. The phone app provides system status monitoring and control of your whole home reserve energy. Unique to this product, it reserves 1.4 kWh of capacity to jumpstart itself in case you run the charge down to zero.
